Preview pics from night one of Semi-Finals tease which Ninjas we’ll see

Elizabeth Morris/NBC We should see a mix from nights one and two of Qualifiers. How in the world are we already half way through season 12 of American Ninja Warrior? Time is flying and we’re swinging into night one of the Semi-Finals! The Semi-Finals will consist of a 10-obstacle course. Like in the Qualifiers, only the top 12 from each episode advance, and the top two women if two women are not in the top 12. The Semi-Finals will take place over two episodes. On the first segment of the Semi-Finals, we should see the competitors from the first two […]

Here’s the full list of Ninjas returning for the Semi-Finals

Elizabeth Morris/NBC 62 competitors are on their way back! With last week’s episode, American Ninja Warrior closed the book on the season 12 Qualifiers. Over the course of four nights, athlete after athlete tried their hand at the course. In the end, 62 competitors were able to advance. Their paths to the Semi-Finals might look different. Some made the top 12, the women’s leaderboard advanced the top three women, and some moved on when their team captain won the Power Tower. One thing they all have in common? They want to survive once again. The Semi-Finals will take place over […]

Meagan Martin on her Qualifying run: ‘It’s always hard when you can’t execute exactly how you want.’

Elizabeth Morris/NBC It wasn’t perfect, but Meagan still had a lot to celebrate and she will return for the Semi-Finals. We’ll just say it: Meagan Martin is American Ninja Warrior royalty. Her runs have the ability to inspire new, young competitors every time she approaches the course. Meagan is also well aware of what it takes to make it on the course and the show. She’s had stellar seasons, set records, and gone home early. In season 11, she was unable to make the National Finals. That might actually have been a blessing since she needed time to fully rehab […]

Mady Howard’s strategy for her first buzzer: ‘I was just trying keep calm and take it one obstacle at a time.’

Elizabeth Morris/NBC The ICU nurse kicked off her season with her very first buzzer. Mady Howard almost didn’t take part in season 12 of American Ninja Warrior. As an ICU nurse, she’s been living with the stress of the pandemic firmly on her shoulders. In the end, she decided to join the Ninjas for her sophomore season, sharing that she wanted to help spread a little joy. We’re all happy she made that choice. Mady hit her first buzzer in a thrilling run during the fourth night of Qualifiers. In season 11, Mady had a breakout performance on the Seattle/Tacoma […]

Watch Tiana Webberley’s very sweet first buzzer

Elizabeth Morris/NBC After six seasons, it was her time and we can’t think of a Ninja more deserving! There are just some buzzers that really get you excited. When a hardworking, dedicated, and inspiring Ninja finally gets their due glory on the course, it’s a joy to witness. We were beaming when Tiana Webberley hit her first buzzer on the most recent episode. We think Matt Iseman may have just challenged “The Rock”

Weiss Eubanks/NBCUniversal Matt and Akbar stopped by Kelly’s show for the Friday, October 2 episode. To say Dwayne Johnson may have taken something from you is a bold statement to make. But that’s what our beloved Matt Iseman went for during a visit to the Kelly Clarkson Show. In the clip above, Matt describes the history of his last name. (Things go from Tony Stark to garbage man REAL fast.) He also talks about using the name “Rock” early in his career. Kelly invited both Matt and Akbar Gbajabiamila to chat with her. Akbar shared the history of his name […]

What would Jamie Rahn be up to in a world with no Ninja Warrior?

Elizabeth Morris/NBC We never thought of this, yet it makes perfect sense! Given the fact that there’s no new American Ninja Warrior episode this week, we feel it’s a fitting time to introduce an intriguing question we asked some of the Ninjas. When we had a few minutes with the competitors in St. Louis for season 12, we asked them about their season and training, but we also asked them to answer a hypothetical question. In an alternate universe, with no Ninja Warrior at all (no sport and no show), what would you be doing? Here’s Jamie Rahn’s answer, which […]

The Ring Chaser is a fan-favorite new obstacle

Elizabeth Morris/NBC The obstacle brings the idea of “If/Then” to the course. A few days ago, we asked the readers to pick a favorite new obstacle from the start of the American Ninja Warrior season. There was one runaway winner. Viewers are enjoying the Ring Chaser. The new obstacle debuted on the premiere episode of season 12 in the third position on the course. Ring Chaser prompts Ninjas to traverse a set of monkey bars as fast as they can. That’s because the moment they pull down on the first bar, they release a ring, 14-inches in diameter, that rolls […]

Elizabeth Morris/NBC We’ve got polls and we want your opinions! This season is like no other we’ve seen before and we’re curious how you’re feeling about it. We’ve only seen the Qualifying courses so far, so there will be more to discuss as the season goes on. We’re going to start by polling you on a few of the new aspects of the season that we have seen. If you’re unsure […]
