Top 10 most viewed runs from season 13

Elizabeth Morris/NBC These are the runs what were watched on repeat! Continuing on with our American Ninja Warrior season 13 retrospective, we’ve gathered the top 10 most popular videos of the year. The list is based on the views gathered from Ninja Warrior’s official YouTube account. Altogether, the runs are a nice slice of the season if someone wanted to sum things up rather quickly. Although there are some noticeable omissions. The 10 runs come from seven different Ninjas. Daniel Gil, Kaden Lebsack, and Vance Walker all have two videos on the list. Of the 10 videos, six of them […]

Do you want the Safety Pass to return for season 14?

Elizabeth Morris/NBC After how it influenced this year’s competition, do you think the Safety Pass should return? We love to revisit a controversial subject! This time, we’re looking for your thoughts on a very debatable subject: The Safety Pass. The Safety Pass was first introduced ahead of season 11, along with the announcement of the Power Tower. It allows a re-run on Stages One or Two of the National Finals should the Safety Pass holder fall or time out. The reason we like to bring this up again and again is that every season, it affects the outcome in a […]

Elizabeth Morris/NBC We’re looking for your feedback! After 12 action-packed episodes, season 13 of American Ninja Warrior has come to a close. That leaves us at the start of the “off-season.” While we can expect three special competitions at some point in the future, we don’t know when just yet. So, we have some time before we can dive into coverage of American Ninja Warrior news. And we have a question for you: What would you like to see more of on ANW Nation during the “off-season?” This site has been active since the launch of season eight. We try […]

Stage One’s ‘Split Decisions’

The Fly Hooks seemed safe, but risking The High Road paid off for some. Season 13 of American Ninja Warrior debuted the new Split Decision. The twist required Ninjas to pick between two obstacles on the course. We thought this would be part of just the Qualifiers and Semifinals. We were surprised and delighted to see it on Stage One of the National Finals. Split Decision was a little different on Stage One. During the Qualifiers and Semifinals, Ninjas had to pick just one of the obstacles. They couldn’t start one, change their mind, and then start the other. When […]

15 Ninjas hit three consecutive buzzers this season

Elizabeth Morris/NBC Six of them were teens. As American Ninja Warrior season 13 fades into the rearview, we’re taking some time to digest everything that happened. There are, of course, the very obvious accomplishments, like 15-year-old Kaden Lebsack making it to Stage Four. But there are so many accomplishments that can’t be fully appreciated until we take a look back at the whole season. Ninjas don’t HAVE to hit a buzzer to make it to the National Finals. Placing high enough on the leaderboard will do the trick. But it’s certainly a great moment to clear a Qualifying course. It’s […]

Out-of-context thoughts from the National Finals: Explained

Elizabeth Morris/NBC Revisiting our first reactions! The time has come to reveal the sources of our last out-of-context thoughts! Over the course of taping American Ninja Warrior season 13, I dropped a few hints about what I was seeing out there. The National Finals are over and I can finally spill the beans! 1.) Is… that Ninja going to puke on the course? They look like they might actually puke. You can probably guess this one. I was deeply worried that Joe Moravsky was going to have a little spill on the course. (Joe had food poisoning during his Stage […]

Our poll indicates that Kaden Lebsack surprised some people

Elizabeth Morris/NBC It seems like the viewers were expecting a veteran to win the season. We love a good poll! We love gathering your votes to see where opinions are leaning. And we got such a kick out of our, “Who will win season 13 poll?” Between episodes two and three of the American Ninja Warrior National Finals, we wanted to know who the fans thought would be the Last Ninja Standing or Champion. At that point, there were 20 Ninjas left in the running. Here are the closed results of that poll! The 1758 votes were spread nicely across […]

10 of our favorite photos from the finale episode

Those last two hours were action packed! Season 13 of American Ninja Warrior is a wrap. But we’re still digesting all the action that went down in the final two hours. The season culminated with the 15-year-old Kaden Lebsack reaching Stage Four alone. He didn’t reach the buzzer in time, but it was a stellar season nonetheless. As we celebrate all those great season 13 moments, we’re taking a look back at 10 of our favorite pictures from the season finale! 1.) Okay, we know Jesse Labreck fell shortly after this. But, darn it, she worked so hard to clear […]

Watch Vance Walker end his season with this extraordinary run

Elizabeth Morris/NBC Stage Three is an incredible note to end a season on. Let’s give Vance Walker a round of applause. His accomplishments on season 13 of American Ninja Warrior are nothing short of legendary. Qualifiers – Mega Wall Semifinals – Top time and Safety Pass Stage One – One of only 27 to finish Stage Two – One of only four to finish Stage Three – No buzzer, but a strong run to Eyeglass Alley When it came time for Stage Three, Vance was in position to go first on the course. There would be no opportunity to watch […]

Kaden Lebsack’s Stage Three run was pure art. Watch for yourself.

Elizabeth Morris/NBC If Ninja Warrior was ballet, this would be Swan Lake. Iconic. We just… Don’t have words to properly describe how we felt watching Kaden Lebsack’s Stage Three run. American Ninja Warrior closed out season 13 with an intense finale. The challenging Stage Two chewed up the 27 remaining Ninjas and only four were left standing at the buzzer. Vance Walker, Kyle Soderman, and Austin Gray all did their best to battle Stage Three. Each of them put together such strong runs, but none reached the buzzer. After Austin fell on Eyeglass Alley, we thought he would be the […]
